Nutty universe: We're losing WV, but AZ and VA are in play
Or maybe it's just history tiding away. Arizona's getting grayer and browner and Virginia's getting more urbanized. When people wake up and recognize the need for responsible social infrastructure, they elect Democrats (or Rockefeller Republicans, who are a dying breed). West Virginia's also getting older, but it's also getting less educated and, not coincidentally, less unionized.

It's nice to see a few long time reds flipping blue. Reminds me of a colorful game of Othello.

1. It's the GOP's latest weapon of mass distraction
Divert and demoralize Kerry supporters with sinking poll numbers while they try to squelch Bob Graham's book, the Israeli spy scandal, and the Plame outing investigation.

2. There was almost a direct correlation between income&IQ in
the states Gore carried vs Bush. The Red states are the dumb poor states that mooch off the Blue states.

3. The Pat Buchanan Types want their Party back
and will put up with a Democratic President (and Republican Congress) to get it back. As the Republicans gain more power, they will get more fractious, fer real.......
