1. Illinois...barely Kerry??? PUUULL:LEEEAAASEE!
I can't bring myself to believe this stuff...the only results of any polls i WILL believe will be when the POLLS close and Kerry pulls an upset..

my feeling on this is..let bush be ahead...it keeps the repukes from feeling like they need to GOTV...

3. Operation Kill Shot: Phase II
Edited on Thu Sep-16-04 11:51 AM by rocknation
First, Bush jumps ahead in two or three national polls. Then he mysteriously starts "gaining" in the state polls. And all at a time when the AWOL story is gaining legs. Also, check out this news story about a state GOP chairman trying to get a pollster fired. Guess what the mainstream media are going to be talking about tonight. Can't you tell a setup when you see it?

To everyone looking at polls and then despairing:

FUCKING QUIT IT!!!

I could've told you 10 years ago that for the 2 weeks after the Republican Convention in 2004 that the Republican candidate would be ahead by a lot. IT FUCKING HAPPENS EVERY ELECTION!!! GOOD FUCKING GOD PEOPLE, OPEN YOUR GODDAMN EYES!!!

On edit: Further proof: Gore lead by a lot after the convention in 2000. Did that fucking hold up??? NO!

5. electoral-vote.com is useless
it simply uses the last poll from a state as the only judge of a state, and that includes all polls, including those Zogby online ones. complete waste of time. Plenty of much better electoral prediction sites out there.

10. here:
http://www.dalythoughts.com/ecb.htm (the guy who runs it is a Freeper but he's generally non-biased)

http://www.electionprojection.com (another one ran by a Republican, but generally unbiased)

http://www.coldheartedtruth.com

right now they all show a slight * lead, but that's to be expected after the convention.

9. Ouch! I know...
Even Prof. Sam Wang's is showing Kerry really down.

I'm trying to remain positive, but I am really, really afraid.

Note: This is not a 'the sky is falling post'.

11. the fact is, * probably is slightly ahead now
but it's 2 weeks after the convention, that's likely to be expected. I believe * was MUCH further ahead of Gore after his convention in 2000.
