The biggest diff. between Iraq and Vietnam is we could pack up and
leave Vietnam without the remotest chance of a civil war. In Iraq's case this will likely spread through out the Mid-East and disrupt oil flowing here for decades. Bush was a fool for putting this in motion. Even if we stay, the same thing is apt to happen. This was Bin Laden's plan and Bush bit hook line and sinker, now were trapped.

1. The consequences in Vietnam were certainly less dire
Iraq is about as bad a place to fuck up as anywhere.
You couldn't do worse in fact.
