2. "Gore Foils Terror Plot"
President Gore announced today that the FBI has broken up a terror ring operating inside the United States. Apparently they planned to hijack commercial airplanes and fly them into buildings including the WTC, Pentagon, Capitol, and White House.

Congressional Republicans mocked and derided Gore. "He is just trying to deflect attention from the ongoing efforts to impeach him over his use of a federal telephone to make a fundraising call," they said in unison.

3. Not likely - He probably wouldn't have been able to get from
the VP house to the White House because the Repukes had seized the WH and declared war.

Their arguments would be that the Supreme Court overthrew the will of the people.

Osama would have been sitting back, watching and chuckling, as the Republicans would have been trying to tear this country apart, thereby making the terror plans obsolete.

4. "Bush did hide while New Yorkers died"
I held that sign up to passing delegates going to MSG.
They HATED it! Got into a yelling match with one guy. "no he didn't! you're dreaming pal" he protested. :)

5. I like it too, but it doesn't soften up Bush's base. Remember Sun Tzu
Two principles to apply in this fight:
1- Hit your opponent where he is weakest. (AWOL, economy, Iraq, lack of anti-terror preparation, obsessive secrecy)
2- Turn your opponent's strengths against him. (lack of anti-terror preparation, lack of Iraq preparation, obsessive secrecy)

But above all else, Sun Tzu says the essense of war is applied deception. You can bet Rove is applying those principles. We should too.
