Bush contributors: Morgan Stanley ($561,425), Merrill Lynch ($530,154)
The president soaked up most of the donations from eight out of 10 business sectors, with the most generous group, the financial services sector, giving him $29.5 million -- three times as much it gave to Kerry, said the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics.

Bush is a former oil executive whose family has historical ties to Wall Street, and his top five contributors are all from the world of business, the center found.

Topping the list are securities firms Morgan Stanley with donations of $561,425 and Merrill Lynch with contributions of $530,154, followed by accounting firm PriceWaterhouse Coopers and the U.S. arm of Swiss bank UBS AG .

However, the money does not come from the organizations themselves, but from political action committees, or PACS, set up to funnel donations, or from employees and their families.

2. Morgan Stanley should be especially ashamed...
They were seriously hit on 9/11 - they occupied 20 floors of Tower 2 near the top. One would think they have more sense then to give half a million dollars to the Administration under whos careful security they lost the financial and manpower equivalent of their right arm.
