Obama says he takes responsibility for the AIG bonus mess.
I'm happy about that admission. It's refreshing after 8 years of "who me, responsible?". But, I'd like to know what he's going to do in the future to make sure this fiasco NEVER happens again. More bailouts are on the way, and there will be no excuses for the administration or corrupt corporations. We taxpayers are not going to put up with any more of this bailout/bonus shit.

Very reassuring though to know this regardless.

2. yea, he takes responsibility for the bonus mess, but this was done
before he was President. A financial 9/11 is more like it.

3. I don't know what this means - if someone fucked up,

like Geithner or Summers, they need to be fired. End of story.

7. You can fire Obama in 2012.....as he said the buck stops with him.
Till he decides to fire anyone, we need to fix our country.....and this bonus issue ain't gonna do that for us.

8. there is no reason I see to "fire" President Obama at this point,
these problems were all in the works by the bush crime family before Pres Obama took over....so he has been working from a disadvantage position since he took office and I believe he is doing a great job....period.

9. I think it's good he did that
He's right. The buck does stop with him, and the lesson he must learn from this fiasco is that much of Wall Street and its allies are utterly corrupt, and will look for any loophole or any crack in order to carry out their greedy aims. Whatever the Obama administration does with the economy from hereon in, they must stop trusting the Wall Street belief that appealing to greed is the only way to get our economy back on its feet.
