I've found some people on DU saying the same thing. And even more curiously, Lindsey Graham said the same thing this morning. IMO, it would be different if he was ONLY doing Leno, but he has a prime time press conference/other interviews coming up, so I could care less.

Showing support for something positive going on in the country, and his personal interest in basketball is entirely appropriate.

Don't governors and senators always make "friendly wagers" when teams from their states end up in sports championships? "If Florida is defeated in the Whooziz Bowl, I'll send a crate of oranges and an alligator wallet to the Governor of Indiana" or whatever.

Now, John McCain, I bet he's got a few grand riding on HIS bracket picks... probably with Bill Bennett.
