5. I FINALLY got a GOP friend of mine to speak favorably of the President.....

.... by talking about the Queen.

She's a hard core right wing values voter type. Voted for Palin because she (Palin) had a child with Down's Syndrome, etc. etc ..... and I've tried EVERYTHING to engage her in a discussion ..... my friend is disabled and I talked about the good things he's doing to help Americans with disabilites etc.

Silence.

But ... today .... my friend conceeded that not only did the Obamas "behave" admirably toward the Queen, but the Queen seemed to enjoy meeting them.

Whatever works. You gotta get in where you can.
