What will happen to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue?
I hated that crap during the primaries when Gregory hosted, but I love David Shuster. Is he done? :/

1. I hope not
I wanted him to get a show all year, and was really happy when he got the spot. Curious as to what is going to happen w/ him.

3. I don't know but I'm VERY upset ... I've grown to really like Shuster
I don't mind Schultz getting his own gig, but why
are they cancelling Shuster? He's really made the
show his own, adding "Hypocrisy Watch" and his
segment with the de-bunking guy ... I don't love
"Twitter Time" but on balance, I thought Shuster
was doing a better job than Gregory.

Is his contract up or something? I WANT MY SHUSTER!!!

5. The Ratings were pitiful
Considering all of MSNBC's numbers are up compared to two years ago, Tucker would have gotten those numbers.

7. What's on against him? OMG, is it crybaby Beck?
I'd HATE to think that Shuster has fallen because
of that raging, blubbering nitwit.

13. one thing that really pissed me off
Was that when David Gregory got that time slot, they promoted the hell out of the show. With those stupid little commercials that zoomed in on Stretch's face, asking Bush a question. And he got to go on the Daily Show, etc (and Morning Joe, etc, though I really don't blame Shuster for not wanting to go back there), to try and promote the show and get people to watch. They do virtually no promotion for Shuster though...they don't even include him in the First 100 Days or "The Place for Politics" commercials. So they just let Tucker and Gregory kill the timeslot, and Shuster gets their leftovers? They better let him keep his show in a different slot, or some variation.

14. Shuster has a bad voice for 6 PM Eastern TV.
He's smart, he's insightful, but his voice grates on me.

Sorry, but true.

I don't watch him because he competes with PBS evening news in my time zone.

Hope maybe they can put Rachel on at 6 and David on at 10 or so.

Or maybe David can get a voice makeover?

15. Keep talking about it....
.... I think we have MSNBC spies lurking. ;-)

Move 1600 to 5pm, keep Tweety at 7 and put Ed in the middle. Or keep Tweety at 5 and put 1600 on at 7, I dont really care.

Either way, I say keep him.

21. I don't know but I bet it will be just anchor stuff like he sometimes does now. Two full hours
of him alone would be too much probably.

20. thanks, took me a minute to notice it, heh.
I used to like Shuster's anchor hour...zero the polar bear, haha. But I sort of feel sorry for him all the same. I hope they let him have some freedom in that two hour block.

Sounds perfect to me! Gregory really doesn't have the muscle for anything more than Today show type stuff right now. What a disappointment.

26. Shuster already has the "find video clips that prove the person changed his position" thing down...
unlike Gregory who doesn't do that sort of thing when Repubs. are on.
