She's in her 80s, isn't she? Some folks, like my brother, start losing inches in their 60s. Has to do with osteoperosis and settling of vertebrae due to shrinkage of the pads between them, I believe.

and in so doing, would have made them seem lesser important in our minds. For crying out loud! Are Barack and Michelle the tallest people on Earth!!!!

WHY does he make 6'2" seem like 6'4" It's weird. I read an article the other day where a reporter remarked that the President seemed (in person) bigger than you'd expect, which is unusual with celebrities. Usually it's the other way around.

Well, maybe he's not THE tallest person on Earth...

It appears the Queen has probably dropped in height due to age.
