How 'bout David Shuster replacing Andrea Mitchell?
Her show is unwatchable! She constantly reads the prompter wrong, pauses during questions then keeps going when the person starts answering, never asks follow-ups as if she's not even listening to what the person just said, and can't move her face with all the botox. She should stick to reporting.

1. Andrea needs the work
Would you want to be stuck with Greenspan all day?

2. It's hard to picture
Alan Greenspan bouncing up and down on top of Shuster.

But then come to think of it, it's hard to picture it with Andrea as well. Or for that matter, anybody.

10. I don't want to picture Alan Greenspan bouncing up and down on ANYBODY
:puke: :puke:

But I also don't want to hear his wife distort the reality of the economic fuckups that her husband caused. Same with Douche Gregory, who's wife has also been part of this scam.

3. How about my cats replacing Andrea Mitchell?
Can't see how they could possibly be any worse, and at least they'd be diverting when stoned on catnip.

15. Shuster and Joe had this big cat-fight last year during one of the conventions
Great TV - Broadcast your morning show live from a bar and throw two sleep-deprived and alcohol-affected egos into a small space together.

The whole thing came down to....

Shuster: I'm a card carrying independent voter.

Joe: Yeah right. I'm the independent. You're a Democrat, admit it.

Shuster: Whatever. At least I'm not a hack.

18. Speaking of Morning Joe..
does anyone notice how when there is going to be something happening in the news where Scarborough can't criticize The President without everyone jumping on him he doesn't show up.

25. I noticed he's been off the last few days....
However, I think he's doing the "visit his family" thing since he works from DC/NY and I think his family still lives in Florida.

Besides, I've never known Joe to shirk from a beat-down by his co-hosts.

8. Andrea gets bigger guests that Shuster wouldnt get.
Her status is much bigger in Washington and even though she sucks, I think her access will make her stay.

13. the funny thing about the media talking about Obama's use of a teleprompter
is that they have shown many times that they can't read one.

and there was no teleprompter on this trip ... and he has a cold ... and the foreign press applauded him. now what losers?

23. Exactly...
and yes, I noticed he spoke without a teleprompter and did GREAT as always. PLUS he has a cold. I bet the media will not say ANYTHING about how well he did WITHOUT a teleprompter.

but they should put Norah O'Donnell in Andrea mitchell's spot, she is unwatchable...

I know...
but I don't think he'll be going solo the whole time. And I agree, Norah would be better than Andrea. ANYONE (but the Morning Joe crew) would be better than her.

29. p.s. Voice Deity Jim Ward could do his excellent sections within "Tinsel Talk" and "Stand-up News"
And WTH, Chris Lavoy could take Willie's place. :-)

Check out "Stand-up News" audio for today? ... It's funny! ... especially "Dear Leader"

31. Not likely to happen....
Despite your personal preference, the fact that Joe is coming in second vs. last in the demos that matter means he's doing something right.

My guess is that Joe did better rating-wise than Miller when she had the morning slot during the "find the replacement roulette" which is why he's there now.

32. You're right but I don't get it. Joe is like one of my right wing brothers - irritating as hell
but because he can schmooze people like him. It's INSANE. The man has no redeeming qualities but the rest of his club house walk on egg shells to keep him happy. Nope, I don't get it at all.

However, IMO, Stephanie Miller ROCKS! :loveya:

35. He's great. She's terrible. Good move by MSNBC.
Their daytime (9am to 5pm Eastern) news has been a joke for a long time. It's been eight hours of idiots, literally unwatchable. From Mika to Contessa, it's been a sad joke of a news channel all day.
