18. Well, to be honest with you I felt the same way,

until I saw video of Jackie and heard her speak. It hurt but it became painfully obvious me that she wasn't very accomplished. I was stunned as I always had this certain idea of her in my head until I saw her talking in videos. Jackie was elegant but only because she was an aristocrat. But accomplished is a different story.

I think Jackie was a very accomplished person and a very beautiful writer. Again, these are two very different women and I don't see the need to bring down Jackie just to build Michelle up.

Michelle went to law school and embarked upon a legal career. I'm not trying to argue. I have great fondness for Jackie Kennedy. She was an icon in my youth. But I'm just saying, when you see video of her now, she doesn't seem to have been the brightest candle on the cake or the sharpness knife in the drawer. That's what I mean by accomplished. And also remember, back in that day, families could make it on one income, so the wife was more restricted in what they were expected to do besides being a great hostess and all of that kind of thing. I mean no disrespect to Jackie. She was glamorous. But I think Michelle is more accomplished. You're right they shouldn't be compared, but the problem is is that Jackie was an icon of glamour, and Michelle has glamour too, so naturally people are going to compare them in some way.
