"Bush was treated like a rock star when traveling overseas"
Edited on Thu Apr-02-09 05:45 PM by firedupdem
Statement by the republican spin guy on 1600. He says Obama hasn't been a success...this is normal for the new guy, or USA Presidents in general.

Do they really believe the crap they spout?

People wanted to throw rocks, and make W see stars, but that's as close as he ever came to being a rock star.

Liars with pants on fire all over the damn place!

at Ws motorcade? And shreaking with delight as his limo drove by all hoping to get a glimpse of Georgie picking his nose.

Yeah, some rock star.

Only it happened to be the sort of reception reserved for a rock star who had cut the set short and given his audience the middle finger.

61. Love your name. I'm one of those silly American girls who screamed and cried when I saw Morrissey.
I was 15, so at least I have that excuse.
I'm still such a huge fan, but I've reigned in the excessive swooning.
Certainly enjoyed the concerts much more that way.

in the sense that he was isolated from the fans, shielded from any and all threats, and only trotted out to perform his trained monkey act when necessary ...

and in that respect, then yes, "Bush was treated like a rock star" ...
