(CNN) -- If a statesman is one who looks to the next generation and a politician one who looks to the next election, a political consultant must be one who looks to the next tracking poll. Well, I'll go one better and just look at today -- April 2, 2009.

This has most likely been President Obama's best single day since inauguration.

His and first lady Michelle Obama's first foray onto the world stage since being elected cannot be dubbed anything but successful. Obama appeared to be quite comfortable and confident as president of the United States at the G-20 summit that produced an unprecedented global economic recovery package.

It happens to every newbie who touches on the negative in a post about our President--even to criticize a Repuke talking point. At DU, your post count is kinda like a "vetting"--if you go 1000+ posts without being tombstoned as a troll, then you're usually considered to be genuine.

It doesn't really make sense, but then again, we DO get a lot of Freeper trolls who think they're smart enough to fool us. They never are, of course--they're Freepers, for goodness sake--but I guess we're all a bit tender, so a few innocents get caught up in the anger, at least for a while.
