Its so nice to witnessing their heads explode over the wonderful job our President and First Lady are doing on their first trip abroad!

They are beside themselves and I LOVE it.

2. The only reason why the foregners are excited is they are all socialists.
And Bush had "rock star" treatment too.

I love it too.

5. If he had stayed in office any longer, it would have been worse than merely a shoe.
I can tell you that right now.

"Obama is too STUPID to realize (or worse he does) that he has recreated the de tant (sp?) talks of the US with the USSR."

DE TANT? Is he talking about someone's aunt, as in "la plume de ma tante"? (it's France, after all).

"I hope they realize he doesn’t speak for people like me. I am not ashamed of nor apologetic of my country. I do not believe what he believes and I know I’m not alone. He makes me want to puke."

Uh, welcome to MY LAST EIGHT YEARS with Dumbya.

"will the media now ask him why the felt the need to bow to the Saudoi king and possible did he kiss the hand of the king and yet never never did this to any other leader"

Uh ... the Bushes have practically been having SEX with the Saudi Royal Family for decades. That one is SUCH a non-starter, it's humorous.

"Steppin' Hussein Fetchit."

Whoa. No comment on that one. Except to wonder where he gets his white robe dry-cleaned!

10. Weren't the De Tant talks a positive development?
Seeing as how they ratcheted down tension between nuclear-armed superpowers and all. But what do I know? I don't get all hot and bothered when Red Dawn comes on.

16. With Detante we finally lowered the Iron Curtain which allowed the Russian people to see the truth.

The Russian people mostly believed that as bad as things were in the USSR, they were worse in the capitalist countries. Along with Detante the Soviet citizens became exposed to how things were in the West. This created dissatisfaction that ultimately led to the collapse of communism in the Soviet Union.

A collapse that would have happened earlier had Reagan not tried stopping the spread of capitalism to the Soviet Union (PepsiCo vs United States). And had the war in Afghanistan not induced a rally-round-the-flag period.
