I can only speak for myself...
But I have to say this: Whenever I see a pic of Bush, I just want to scream or throw up or both.

He was the worst, the most horrible masquerade of a president EVER.

And especially when you compare him to the elegant and graceful President Obama and his First Lady...

They are young, lithe, madly in love, and so graceful...

In other words, EVERYTHING the Bushes are not.

Rant off...peace out.

7. Quite a few historians agree with you about W.

The second worst IMO was Nixon.

On the other hand, historians tend to like Reagan, whom I would rate as the third worst. I think many historians have been influenced by conservative think tanks -- especially by the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, where Reagan is worshiped as a minor deity.

8. I'm glad to hear that many distinguished historians agree with me...
I'm not surprised.

Nixon had his faults, no question. But he did some notably good things too...the opening of doors with China and taking care of certain environmental issues.

I'd almost say that Reagan was worse than Nixon. I'm not really sure why, exactly, but I see no good coming from his administration.

I thought the folks at Stanford were supposed to be intelligent.

9. Stanford has many intelligent people.
But the Hoover Institution is only a small part of Stanford and is far from representative.

10. I had not realized that it wasn't representative of Stanford
as a whole...

Thanks for the added insight.

20. Ah, Ms. Peg -
It IS such a relief not to have to cringe every single time our President opens his mouth. The easy elegance of the Obamas is very gratifying.
