Making me proud Obama
Edited on Fri Apr-03-09 08:12 AM by Botany
That was a speech for the ages.

History, philosophy, science, and reaching out to the world.

Now open Q & A.

Liberté, égalité, and fraternité

1. Yep.
It is uplifting and exhilarating to have a President that is not only lacking the abject stupidity and arrogance of Bu$h, but even beyond that, he exudes such intelligence and introspection that he inspires people.

2. His understanding of issues on a world level is breath taking
A call to lift the world out of poverty.

The depth of his knowledge is just wild.

3. I'm watching this
and knowing that I'm watching history. It's amazing to see this after what we had for 8 years.

4. His speech was awesome
then a Q & A, and as he goes out he "works the crowd."

A student from Germany ask about global poverty and Obama talks (intelligently)
about trade, Kenya, Botswana, Strasbourg, NYC, Chicago, health care, and the big
picture.

5. In a very short time...
Obama has proven himself more effective at foreign relations than all Presidents in my memory.

We have every reason to be proud.
