Baldwin invites Michelle Obama to ‘30 Rock’
‘I think my character falls in love with Michelle Obama,’ he jokes

Barack Obama may be the commander in chief, but it’s his wife who has an open invitation to appear on NBC’s “30 Rock.”

“I would like Michelle Obama on ‘30 Rock,’” Alec Baldwin recently told Hollyscoop.com. “The president is on TV every day, all day. So we want to get something different.”

If the first lady were to take Baldwin up on his offer, she would join a long line of notable guest stars to appear on the NBC sitcom, including Oprah Winfrey, Jennifer Aniston, Steve Martin, Jerry Seinfeld, Salma Hayek and former Vice President Al Gore.

After an on-screen romance with a nurse, played by Salma Hayek, perhaps Baldwin’s character, Jack Donaghy, may have aspirations of going after a woman in a higher position of power.

“I think my character falls in love with Michelle Obama, of course,” Baldwin joked. “You know, if it doesn’t work out with Barack…”

1. I bet she'd do it too. That'd be great!
Barack should make a cameo too when Alec tries to steal his wife

...Of course the MSM would have a field day with him "not being serious enough

But screw what they think!

2.  Didn't she already turn down appearances on some show or other?
I think she may want to be taken seriously and prefers being seen as a community activist with children in their schools and dishing out food for the homeless. Any entertainment might be purely as part of an audience. She's definitely making her public image a serious example to be followed.

But maybe I'm wrong.

3. I don't think she'd do it either, but it's kind of fun to see the invite. nt
