administration know that it is a priority? Seriously are we targeting certain Senators, writing emails and letters letting the administration know that it is something that is needed and desired by the American Workforce. Where is the targeting of reports and articles that lie about EFCA?

1. EFCA, alas, is dead
at least for the moment.

2. So there is nothing we can do in the meantime?

When can it be brought back up again and are the unions accepting of this?
It is seriously disappointing that all I hear is complaints about the administration and dems not doing anything about it but didn't really see any action being done here to support it. It is amazing how many bad ideas get fast tracked through congress but somehting for unions and workers get little support.

3. I haven't been keeping up with it too much since I know Kay Hagan is for it
and there's no chance the other NC senator will get behind it. I should though.

4. Yeah it is sad I read an article that stated Gallup found only 12%

of people were following EFCA. I find that unacceptable but given the response to my OP it is not surprising but I am sure if there is an article blaming Obama and Dems for not getting it passed it will be commented on and rec'ed to high heavens. Hopefully the Unions will get their act together and hopefully when President Obama gets back from his trip they will have a talk with him and there will be more pressure put on this from the White house to get it passed with as little watering down as possible.

5. It served its purpose-hasn't it? ....in the
sense that it helped rally labor and the unions and this helped win the election.
Sorry to be so cynical, but that is how I feel at this moment. It is no longer a priority --and IMHO it will be watered down if indeed it comes to life again.

7. That sucks working nights are a killer.
I believe if we want EFCA to pass and to be effective we need to be applying pressure from all sides and not just sitting back and blmaing the administration. We need to be writing Keith, Rachel and Ed S. about this constantly until they start talking about it. Specifically the lies being spewed to try and squash it. We need to be writing the administration emails and snail mail and questioning Obama in Townhalls about it. I don't know what the Labor Secretary can get done but maybe we can get her to be supportive and vocal about this too. Labor needs to regroup and start a grass root campaign and make sure more people are engaged about the battle going on. On a larger note labor needs to be more vocal against the people trying to make sure they are weakened and toothless.
