When George W. Bush, who differed from Catholic doctrine on The Iraq war, spoke at Notre Dame, there was no protest.

In fact, The Pope speculated that George W. Bush might have been The Antichrist, yet when George W. Bush spoke at Notre Dame, there was no protest.

When Rudy 9iu11ani, who is pro-choice, spoke at Notre Dame, there was no protest.

In fact, George H. W. Bush, George W. Bush, and Rudy 9iu11ani, who are all pro-death-penalty, in contradiction to Catholic doctrine, were all warmly received at Notre Dame without protest.

In fact, Notre Dame has respectfully invited many to speak who have disagreed with Catholic Doctrine, and they have been honorably received.

Why now do a handful of hypocrites raise a fuss?

I suspect the reason has little to do with doctrine, and absolutely everything to do with petty partisanship.
