Any timing element present in N. Korean Launch and Pres. Obama's speech tomorrow?
Edited on Sun Apr-05-09 12:21 AM by FrenchieCat
Because I believe that the media is going to run with this story of this launch.....

when we've got crazy N. Korea bragging about their launch.
the day before our President talking about getting rid
of all nukes.

1. No, I sincerely doubt that the North Koreans give a shit what Obama's schedule is like.

Nor do I believe there was "a master plan" with regard to timing.

Sometimes FC, some events just "happen" and are not the expressed genius of any one particular man or organization.

2. So you think things just happen?
Edited on Sun Apr-05-09 12:24 AM by FrenchieCat
I personally believe that the North Koreans are doing this in particular because they do give a shit of how they are perceived, and their nuclear obsession is all they have.

3. They are rather fussy in that department, aren't they?
Well, they're perceived as a HUGE pain in the world's ass!!! So There!

4. Nobody on the world scene would act without thinking at least five
moves ahead...

Well except for Bush and Cheney...

5. No, but I don't need to spin things 100% of the time so as to make Obama look good.
I'm just a little suspect on all of your threads lately. I'm sorry but your devotion to "all things Obama" is creeping me out a little.

6. You don't even have to read my threads.....
But I am raising a legetimate question,
and this thread has nothing to do with making Obama look good
(if so, please tell me how?)

and tomorrow, you may be scratching your ass,
and remembering FrenchieCat's thread was the first place you read about this particular possible maneuver.

As far as this myth of my devotion to Obama.....if it wasn't that, it would be something else.
Folks just love to hate me....cause I'm effective, so it puts a bug up their ass.

But I will say, that my record at calling out the bullshit as it is happening is pretty damn good!

7. That if he doesn't achieve the effect he wants: Blame No. Korea or perhaps China?
You're right, I just won't read or comment in the future.

Take Care and Best Wishes :-)

8. How does it help Obama Speech to have N. Korea instigating with this launch?
I don't see any good coming of it.

......But then I remember when you were hating on Wes Clark a few years back.....
and I had to defend him from all of your smears. You believed him to be a war criminal,
or something like that.

Just seems like you again have a bug up your ass.

9. Wes Clark is, IMO, a war criminal-insincere at best. But there are certain leaders that some people
will defend no matter what happens. Again, I'm just not going to read anymore of your threads because, if you ADMIRE some democrat, they can do no wrong because you will DEMAND it so.

13. Honestly having lived in South Korea and read a lot about the North Koreans
I don't think there is any correlation there. They gave a four day window (April 4-8 between 11-6 local time) and started fueling the rocket (the rocket fuel is highly corrosive and thus it has to be fired pretty soon after fueling is completed). The weather played some part in it from what I've heard as there was overcast skies and windy conditions. The truth is that North Korea has their own little agenda, which is trying to manipulate the world into thinking they can get their way. Each time the spotlight gets taken off them (for example things flair up in the Middle East), they get pissed because the US isn't paying attention. Meanwhile, people are suffering and dying. Families are in concentration camps (work camps) where they must live for years, perhaps decades. Most people there are oblivious to what is going on in the world because of the regime.

14. Whatever their motivation, it's working.
As the launch is getting more coverage than the President's speech.

It's like the Palin VP announcement all over again.
