it will make you feel better. This thread was about Obama`s call for a nuclear-free world. You and some others came to another conclusion.Really sad that you had to make this thread about the financial crisis.

21. We were responding to the use of "Yes, we can" - which has become "No, we can't"...
...when dealing with the bankers. Just an honest reaction to a phrase that's losing its punch.

22. Again, this thread is not about the financial crisis. Why is this so difficult to understand? And by..
the way "lostnotforgotten" has been shitting all over this thread yet you defend this shit. But it doesn`t matter what I say now since this thread is pretty much ruined. And one of my posts got even deleted. But hey, the next time I see you start a thread about Obama`s plan on how to deal with the banks I will start shitting on your thread about how important it is that we get rid all of the nukes and take the "Yes-We-Can" slogan out of context and let`s see how you would react.

Congratulations again for ruining this thread.Let`s see if the Mods will delete this post too.

23. Good grief, what a whinefest. It's perfectly appropriate to comment...
...on the President's pick-and-choose use of the phrase "Yes, we can."

29. How was it taken out of context?? I was serious...
...when I said the first thing I thought was that we don't say "Yes, we can" when it comes to ousting the criminal bankers.

It's silly to try to dictate how a thread should progress ~ this is a message board, a place for people to air what's on their minds.

36. I can`t dictate anything however it wouldn`t hurt if we show some kind of respect...
to each others threads - especially since this thread has nothing to do with the financial crisis let alone Obama`s handling of the banks. If every time, you saw a head title with the "Yes-We-Can" slogan think about how many threads you could shit on.Nothing more to add. This is my last reply to you.Go ahead and have the last word.

38. I'll let the last word reiterate the point of the original comments that so upset you...
If we can say "yes we can" to something as big as a nuclear free world, we can surely say "yes we can" to the bullying bankers in the states. It's a shame that suggesting such a thing so hurts your delicate sensibilities.

30. "Look," as the President always says, it's lame to say "yes we can" about some things...
...and "no we can't" when the bankers have you by the balls. If you don't get that, too bad ~ go shake your pom poms.

33. *takes deep breath...counts to ten* ...It's your opinion that it's lame
and that's all it is, an opinion. But to those 20,000 people standing there listening to him speak, it wasn't lame.

whew, there. I got through that without cussing anybody out.

5. Hi polichick - Thanks - It Amazes Me That Supporters Zeal Blinds Some To Stark Reality
The whole financial mess, which is our biggest challenge, has been handled very, very poorly by the Obama administration.

If not quelled soon, it will dwarf all the good works that the Obama administration might have taken credit for in the future.

8. This is Obama's most important speech to date. The historic quote:
"Such fatalism is a deadly adversary.
If we believe the spread of NW is inevitable, then in some way we are admitting to ourselves that the use of nuclear weapons is inevitable.
Just as we stood for freedom in the 20th century, we must stand together for the right for people everywhere to live free from fear in the 21st century.
And as the only nuclear power to have used nuclear weapon, the US has a moral responsibility to act.
We cannot succeed in this endeavor alone, but we can lead.
We can start it.
And so today I state clearly and with conviction America's commitment to seek the peace and security of a world without nuclear weapons.
I'm not naive.
This goal will not be reach quickly, perhaps not in my lifetime.
It will take patience and persistence.
But now we too must ignore the voices that say we cannot change.
We must insist, yes we can."

13. One of the things that makes us better than the Freepers is that we are capable of complex thought..
..... we recognize that someone is not either all good or all bad. (with the obvious exception of Dick Cheney. ha!)

The President is not always going to do what we think he should. If we feel he's wrong about something, and we feel that calling him out on it will be productive, then that's what free speech is all about.

But there will be times when he'll do things that any rational human being would agree was important, significant and positive.

THIS was one of those times and I congratulate and support him on this important address.

*I* get it, I know YOU get Hope and Change and I think MOST of us get it.

Those who dont are much like the Freepers. They have their minds made up and aren't worth wasting any energy on. ;)

And of course, disruptor OP trolls like to ignore the facts that show the Obama/Geithner plan is working:

Pathetic lot who want to believe that their political superiority
trumps anything anyone else thinks.

Considering, you'd think they'd have some bank to go and protest in front of!

But instead it looks like copying and pasting negativity about this President,
all over the Internet is their avenue to liberation!
