The best solution to stopping nuclear proliferation, a general opposition to hypocrisy
Edited on Sun Apr-05-09 10:15 AM by usregimechange
We can no longer, with Russia, have enough nuclear weapons to destroy the world X times over (which is redundant I might add) and preach to the rest of the world who wish to do what we did in the arms race ourselves. What did we do? We want nukes and more nukes because they existed elsewhere.

Solution?

Reduce to zero, gradually, the presence of nuclear weapons globally.

The idea that the world can have nuclear weapons is not that dissimilar to allowing a toddler to play with a knife. It is neglect.

Join me, sign the declaration:

"We, the undersigned, believe that to protect our children, our grandchildren and our civilization from the threat of nuclear catastrophe, we must eliminate all nuclear weapons globally. We therefore commit to working for a legally binding verifiable agreement, including all nations, to eliminate nuclear weapons by a date certain.”
