VICE PRESIDENT BIDEN TO THROW OUT CEREMONIAL FIRST PITCH AT CAMDEN YARDS

On Monday April 6th, Vice President Biden will throw out the ceremonial first pitch at Orioles Opening Day at Camden Yards. The Vice President will be accompanied to the mound by eight boys and girls from the Baltimore Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) League, a program founded by Major League Baseball that is funded locally by the Baltimore Orioles Charitable Foundation.

Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) is designed to:

2) Encourage academic participation and achievement

3) Increase number of talented athletes prepared to play in college and Minor Leagues

4) Promote greater inclusion of minorities into the mainstream of the game

5) Teach the value of teamwork

1. Ted Kennedy is supposed to do the same at Fenway Park in Boston,
but it might be rained out today.

Didn't mean to upstage you, just thought some people would want to know about Kennedy.

5. Sounds like a real good way
to bring kids in on it, too. Has this been done before?

I don't know how the weather is in Baltimore but it's not very conducive to baseball up here in Central New York.

6. Game postponed to tomorrow in Boston, don't know about other places.
Game called at 10 AM due to rain.
