3. I think the problem is we are trying to train them NOT to be Iraqis.
We are trying to train them to be Americans. Until we revision our plan, we will never succeed.

4. They are not trying to train them to be "Iraqi"..
they are trying to train them to forget about thousands of years' worth of tribal grudges, and to work together & to stop killing each othyer.. That's an impossible task..but Americans think short-term..most of the rest of the world holds their native histories forever....and at any given moment, can dredge up a 2,000 yr old grudge.. Especially in the Middle east..

Why does it take over five years to train an Iraqi to fight in Iraq?

6. If it only takes 7 years for a lawyer and 11 years for a doctor then why...
do they call their profession a practice? No matter what happens they are still training for their job by practicing.

7. Complete this sentence: "Oh what a tangled web we weave when first..."
___________________. Now, define the word "practice" as used in that sentence.
