I am a lefty and I can't stand to have a watch on that hand!

6. Same here
I stopped wearing a watch altogether. If I want to know the time, I check my cell phone.

But I know other lefties who wear their watch on their left wrist.

11. great observation. As a lefty, I need the watch on the right hand
I didn't notice which arm he had it on the way you did. The first thing that popped in my head was "synchronize swatches!"

17. That's true, I'm a righty but couldn't stand to wear a watch on my right hand.
It would really do a number on my stylus tablet, too, I'm sure.

12. That picture cracked me up though....
The furniture is beautiful but so low to the ground that only Sarkosy was able to sit comfortably. Barack, Michelle, and Carla all have legs that are too long for the chairs.

19. Yep, and there was one of Barack siting in a more traditional style chair....
.... where his knees were up to his chin.

I felt bad for him.

But being that I'm 5'2" .... not really. :)

and since I'm 5'3", I can't help but laugh at the long legged people sitting uncomfortably in the short chairs.

20. Yep and there are a lot of great modern American pieces they could use....
... here's LBJ sitting in the Oval Office study (yes the President has a baby office just off of the Oval Office, it's where the .... ya know ... Monica stuff happened)

He's sitting in a "Womb Chair" by Eero Saarinen.

Unfortunately, Saarinen was Finnish, but since the White House furniture isn't supposed to leave the possesion of the White House, that chair might be in storage somewhere. They could use it as an excuse to decorate a whole room.

The First Lady's office is a bit drab.....

I'd trick that pony out so it looked like Austan Powers was about to come out of it. lol

10. Pure class, those Obamas!
So nice to see America represented by such an admirable couple. After the past eight years of having the shaved ape at the helm, I still have a hard time believing the nightmare is over.

Then I see this beautiful, elegant couple pictured, with the words "President and First Lady" and have to take a moment to wrap my head around it...

It's President Obama now...and it feels GREAT. :-)

18. The only thing that makes me sad is that the country they inherited is in such terrible shape.
Imagine what this administration could do if they didn't have to spend all their time cleaning up one catastrophe after another. Still, there is no one else I'd rather have trying to get us back on our feet.
