President Obama will be at the 65th Aniversary of the invasion of Normandy on June 6, 2009.

Company A of the First Battalion, 116th Infantry regiment, 29th Division lost 19 of 34 men in the first phase of the attack as they literally walked into a firing range since cloud cover prevented bombing of the defensive obstacles on the beach. All 34 men of Company A were from Bedford, VA, including 3 sets of brothers.
