Gallup daly tracking over the past week or so???
I don't get it. Do you? Is it that Joe-sixpack thinks that the president isn't allowed to travel and should stay cooped up in Washington bickering with cantor 24/7 or what???

This is ridiculous. Nothing has happened this past week to send it down to 59% other than for Joe sixpack throwing a hissy fit over his president doing his appropriate foreign duties!!

Sorry. Just had to rant. Not happy. All the more confusing with the Dow up to 8,000, the economy showing signs of life, the Iraq visit and the amazing foreign reception he got.

Oh that's right. Joe sixpack wants the world to hate us!!

1. Polls move due to statistical variation.
If people didn't learn that during the election season, I don't know what can convince them of that now.

2. He's doing fine
Geesh!

I had really hoped for a reprieve from polls for just a little while after the never ending campaign.

3. Its fairly stable...
If there was a drop over the last couple of days, it was likely to do with losing some left support over wiretaps.

4. Can you post a link to the specific story? The story I read said that his ratings were stable @ 62%

5. sorry semi
It's on the main home page of http://www.gallup.com right at the top of the page with a whole bunch of other dally polls Gallup does to measure consumer confidence etc. I know USAT/Gallup do seperate polls and maybe that's what the 62% is. Anyway, it doesn't matter. I just like it better at 63% or 64% rather than 59%. Maybe it is the wiretapping. I saw Keith discussing it the other night. Who knows. Of course, probably is stat. variation as well.

6. Well, that's just the Daily Gallup. Fluctuations across days are not that big of a deal.
We'll have to see, I guesss :)
