Shouldn't Tea Parties Be Co-Opted Into Anti-Military Spending Parties? Gutting The Military?
Edited on Fri Apr-10-09 11:58 AM by Median Democrat
We have heard Republican after Republican complaining that President's Obama's modest cuts in spending on certain (expensive POS weapons like Sci-Fi lasers) military programs amounts to "gutting" the military or "disarming" America. The question is how hypocritical are these protesters? Are they really against spending or waster?

Or, are they simply against spending for healthcare, energy independence and education, and for spending billions of dollars on wars and fanciful weapon systems that do not protect out troops in the field?

Conversely, shouldn't we ask the tea baggers whether they are proposing "gutting the military" or "disarming America"?

Afterall, the right wing always tries to have it both ways, and rarely does the mainstream media call them on it.

1. One of the right's glaring inconsistancies. They support socialism.
The Pentagon the police state for instance.

2. Didn't You Know? Keynes Only Applies To Military Spending

The F-22, for example, has parts made in 46 states. Of course, as John Stewart noted, maybe that is why it so expensive, they don't build it in one place if Amazon shipping costs are any indication.

Of course, Republicans will also tell you that the stimulus package does not work, because government spending does not create jobs.

So, go figure.

4. "Wastin us some Ay-rabs!" = great use of tax dollars.
"Helping lazy poor people" (you know, because NO McCain voter is poor :eyes: :eyes: ) = SOSHULISM!

Everyone got that? Good. Now wash the slime off before you exit the basement.

5. You seem hellbent on responding to these idiots...

how about ignoring them.

Freepers seem to be chomping at the bit hoping that DUers and the like are going to show up and "cause trouble."

Otherwise, they are going to get about 1-3 minutes on that evenings broadcast.

So, ignore them. Stop trying to give them what they want, which is attention. They're idiots.
