You see him with his family, and he just glows!

43. This seems to be typical of that:

I've seen many such photos of Obama and children, but have never seen a bad one. I know it's an old cliche about children having acute instincts about spotting sincerity & character, but I still believe there's much truth in it.

22. #40 is frightful
I think Grandmom looks spry. #21 I like to see her smile and have a lighter step. #38 It looks like she bears the weight of the world when she looks over her family. During the campaign by the look on her face, she looked like she would do anything to keep them away from everything bad with the world.

She reminds me so much of my late grandmother.

Obama is a completely different man around the kids, isn't he? My dad was like this...usually somewhat reserved, but instantly turned into a silly man with funny facial expressions when surrounded by kiddos. I miss that man so damn much it still hurts.

36. I admit it ...
I'm sitting here with a HUGE grin on my face and tears in my eyes.

I LOVE the Obamas! Not just him - the entire family! I am so happy and so proud that they are representing us. Not only do they love and respect each other, but they obviously have a genuine love and respect for everyone else. You know what I love the most? The fact that they are not afraid to simply have fun! This wasn't a "photo op" performance for them - they were truly enjoying themselves! There's nothing "elitist" about them.

:loveya: :patriot:

Pic 3 is funny because it looks like Marian is a poster, not a real person. The way it's framed with the blue board behind her.

The pics of Obama with that adorable red-haired girl are priceless! He looks like he's having as much fun as the kids.
