A question for all those that are angry because all the banking, wall street and insurance
executives have not been removed. Where do you think the replacements are going to come from????? Business is not like politics. There is not an opposition party waiting to take over. There are only so many qualified people to do these jobs and if you get rid of all the current ones, there will be no one left to run things. They may have screwed up, but the best thing is to regulate their behavior, not eliminate them.

2. So you think the failures in the executive suites are the only people available?
Seems to me that anyone could fail as well as those idiots, so keeping them for their experience is kinda moronic.

4. You do realize many of the execs fell into the steroid trap
in other words, since Bush allowed these dangerous practices, which produce high returns, there was serious pressure for everyone to do it. If they didnt' take the risks they would lose their jobs to someone that would. That's why the biggest blame falls to Bush and his inability to put in any sort of rules or regulations.

5. Sorry, I dont believe in the "everyone did it" excuse
When a blue collar worker screws up and their company loses money he/she loses their job.

Wall Street demands that on a daily basis.

So I think the bank executives should be held to the same standard, and if that requires government intrusion then so be it.

6. I don't agree, these execs are hired to maximise profit
those that don't get fired. They were left with the choice of taking a risk or getting fired. Not very good situation to be in. Had there been solid regulations, there wouldn't have been an issue.

8. Creating huge losses is minimizing profits, they should be fired.

3. It's not like you are firing ALL the people
at the banks, wall street or insurance companies. There are plenty of people who are qualified to take the jobs, and probably many of them are women. I've seen many a "secretary" train the new boss coming in. And there are always those who retired early, or didn't get the promotion because a nephew showed up, or a school chum moved into town, or a club member needs a favor for a friend. Most of these jobs are not advertised in the newspaper, they are given to those who know someone.

12. you think they "screwed up"; i think they are corrupt slime who gamed the system
knowing the government would cover them ie clinton, dodd, bush, graham etc etc
of course they will say mistake, but look closer and you see that it is sadly no mistake
