I don't get Joe Scarborough....Is he sick this week?!
So he's like all promoting President Obama. So today he said, "Obama commanded center stage like Reagan ever did..."

Before that he said, "The question is who in the Republican party can lead and even worthy to walk in this guy's (President Obama)shadow? No one. He looked Presidential yesterday and in charge."

"President Obama was able to take complicated terms and explain it simply to the American people."

"I wonder if this Republican party, in this new age of technology, can rise up and stay in power (as in have some credence in politics) for the next five years."

I'm really lost..it feels almost twilight zone like listening to Scarborough this week. Mika Mouse is a fool...but Joe...just Wow!! Don't get me wrong, I'm not in love or anything, just a bit surprised he's on O's side so much.

He's not the wingnuttiest of the wingnuts.
I haven't watched him for some time, but from what I've seen of him, it doesn't really surprise me. He's always been pretty independent as I recall.

13. NO, Joey the Scar is vile but not stupid. He sees that public opinion is not
with his swaggering patriarchal vision for the USA.

I've viewed few men who I find MORE repulsive and misogynistic as one each, Joe Scarborough.

and really, I think it's only because he has a book coming out about the "new direction" that the Republican party needs to go in. It's all just to promote his book. He's on one those people who will red bait like hell and call Obama and socialist, and then go to CPAC and give a "We can't call Obama a socialist" BS. Bob Cesca from the Huffington Post wrote an article about how Joe always does this (uses "marxist", "communist", "socialist") and Joe got pissy and wrote a an article for HuffPost saying "I don't do that. I can't believe my friend Arianna Huffington would allow someone to make up stuff about me on her website". He's in complete denial, and now he's trying to make himself the "savior" of the Republican party. Occasionally he is sane, but the next day he is extra nutty to make up for it. In January of last year , he was all "Barack Obama is a great speaker!" , and then when Obama won a couple primaries, he started calling Hillary Clinton his "muse", etc. And remember, when Sarah Palin was first announced, Joe said "Oh great. Let's get a woman, any woman will do" and Pat said "This....isn't going to work", and then they had to pretend they liked it. Pat became a true believer, I think deep down Joe knows Sarah Palin was really weak.

5. He's probably just acknowledging that the GOP is in serious trouble
And needs someone like him to lead them out of the darkness. He is no liberal, not even an independent. He wants to see the GOP back in power.

6. He picks 1 day out of the 30 to say a bunch of praise to promote the idea he's "unbiased"
Then, when he trashed Democrats and Pres. Obama 29 days out of 30, he can point to the time he said great stuff as a CYA move.

he was quite rational in his assessment of what was and was not being done. He got his new show, and then  . I don't have cable any more, and I don't miss him.

8. Sorry, but dog mess has more character and conviction than JoeScro
He's an opportunist. Nothing he says carries weight or one ounce of intellectual integrity. It's all about the positioning of Joe for whatever motive he may be entertaining at the time. He may be calling Obama a genius one day and mocking him as "messiah" the next.

And speaking, myself here, of this messiah meme on the right -- I think it's very curious since I personally know wingers who were convinced that GWB was "God's man" and that "God was speaking to W" and lots of that BS. Now they are the very ones with the messiah talk. Do the Republicans just not understand the definition of hypocrisy?

29. I am a hypocrit too
I think the only way Obama could have been elected would be for God to intervene on his behalf. A black president? In this U.S. of A? Especially after I read and saw those Republican rallies during the general election and these damn tea parties' signs, I think God had a hand in that too.

It bothered me that people believed George W. was god's man too. I don't think it bothered me because W was going to be the messiah. It bothered me because if God put him in and W appeared to be so unprepared, I knew we were courting disaster. For me it was a sign of doom, if God wanted that for us, then I wondered how bad it would get.

Now that I've lived through some of it, I wonder what information Obama will release which will crystallize the nastiness of it all. I don't know if Obama can really dig us out of Bush's mess. I hope he can do some works from some of the prophets or the messiah: walk on water, he can raise the dead, and he can do some Elijah maneuvers for us all.

Man, I'd even settle for bringing us into the land of Canaan.

He could care less about anything but see his mug on tv.

How is his romance going with Mika Mouse?
Does his wife approve?

20. Show's consistently in second place for cable news programs during its time slot
I think that ranking varies depending on the demographic but he is a solid #2 in the demos that count when trying to sell advertising.

10. Scar is a tool, but he can be convinced
Joe Scarborough has a rhythm to his commentary. He starts the broadcast as a GOP hack, spouting out the talking points. The guests work on him, he modifies his position. By the end of the broadcast, he is largely impressed with Obama, disappointed in the GOP.

11. I think a drunk blindfolded monkey throws darts at a list of topics and POV's
If the dart hits "economy" and the other dart hits "pro-Obama" then that's the approach Joe and crew take.

During the commerical break if the monkey manages to nail "piracy" and "Obama fucked up" then that's the approach they take coming back on air.

I'm the minority here but I actually enjoy watching the show during my morning "get ready for work" routine. Granted, the shows all over the place and I can't tell from moment to moment if Joe or Mika are hopped up on something but I have no hatred for it.

... he's getting his own show.

Maybe Joe is starting to put two and two together.

Which is a hard thing to do when you're a Republican.

the President, who is extremely popular, are useless now and are like shooting the party in the foot. Today he tried chipping away at his cabinet and the generic "left." The RW militias of the 80s need to be thrown back at these jokers as well as the bullying silencing tactics of the * administration. How soon they forget.

for RW extremists and had the NERVE to ask, "Could you IMAGINE the OUTRAGE if the Bush admin. had targeted liberal groups?" HELLO, JOE-they DID! They put what they considered "anti-war groups" on FBI TERROR LISTS! And most of them were just regular citizens who happened to be against the Iraq war!
