Teabagging Traitors (In their own words)
Edited on Wed Apr-15-09 12:28 PM by berni_mccoy
There is no doubt, the teabaggers are traitors in their own minds. They either forget we are at war or they are giving comfort to the enemy. In their own words:

"You are either with us or against us" - Bush, many times to quiet criticism of administration policy

"The President considers this nation to be at war, and, as such, considers any opposition to his policies to be no less than an act of treason." -- White House spokesman relaying Bush's consideration of dissent

"It is one thing to protest before the war started. It is an entirely different matter now that our troops are engaged in fierce fighting. Now is the time to get behind our country and our troops. Take up your disagreement at the next election." -- conservative writer, Martin Lehmann

"When the Iraqis see media coverage of disgruntled Americans, ... they are encouraged and believe their strategy is working. We have the right to be disappointed, and it is understandable if we are angry. We need to be aware of a possible outcome of our outcries that could backfire on us directly." -- Anita Blount wife of a U.S. General

"I think it's quite clear as you point out, Sean, that from this tape, that bin Laden and his lieutenants are monitoring the American news media, they're monitoring public opinion polling, and I suspect they take a great deal of comfort when they see people attacking United States policies." -- Newt Gingrinch on Hannity & Colmes

"Our nation is being torn apart and made weaker because of manic obsession to bring down our commander-in-chief." -- Zel Miller

"Dean should be hung" -- Michael Reagan responding to Dean's raising questions against the Administration's Foreign Policy

"They fill the airwaves with treason, but when called to vote on withdrawing troops, disavow their own public statements. These people are not only traitors, they are gutless traitors. " -- Ann Coultier

Of course, all of us at DU know dissent is beneift of Democracy and a patriotic responsibility, but the fact the Teabaggers don't see it that way. They consider themselves to be traitors, giving comfort to the enemy.
