where there are a bunch of Repugs making signs for this teabagging day. They are trying to make the signs look homemade to give the impression that they were created by the people that they give them to to hold. The challenge they have is how they can make them sound genuine so as not to let on that these were being made and distributed. They are laughing it up because they have such a low opinion of people that each sign has to look more homemade and have a more inane saying on it than the last. Overall - I think they did a very good job of making themselves look even more foolish than they are. Actually the sillier the sign - and the more outlandish the protest - the more TV time and press they get. So from that perspective they are being made to look more important than they really are. Who cares if the numbers aren't there at these protests. The fact that every news program and newspaper and news website is featuring this as their lead story - they've achieved their goal.

Look for more of these to happen in the next four years.

I guess we're not helping matters much by spending so much space here on DU talking about it. Me included. My bad.

Maybe if we just ignore them - they'll give it up and go away.

I think somebody was holding a sign with a misspelled word and a reporter or a blogger asked about it and they said they didn't make it, the sign was given to them to hold.
