The 15 minutes of Fame for the Teabaggers is now officially Over.....
Edited on Thu Apr-16-09 01:50 AM by FrenchieCat
I humbly suggest that we let them slink back into the holes from which they came.
These type of folks aren't worthy of our time,
and my sense of humor in reference to these people has run out.
At this point, it is like giving the KKK undue attention, IMO.

Why don't we let Fox et al carry on without us.

1. but they're so funny!
seriously, though - their extremism needs to highlighted, especially with Rick Perry's stupidity.
This is the base of the GOP. this is who their leaders pander to.
Make sure everyone knows.

and hilariously, all they did was preach to the microscopic choir.
Obama's approval won't be dented. In fact, it might even get a bump

4. I heard somewhere they were gathering names for a similar
protest on July 4, and as long as Fox news has sponsors, or rich donors paying to put this stuff on the air, it is a reality of big money owned media.

But I agree its tiring, I am so tired of the abuse of angry, scared, or whatever type of people they might be. Many don't know they are being used.

7. I agree. Actually I found the whole thing depressing.
What about how we were going to disagree without being disagreeable? I think the more we internalize these people, the more likely their craziness will rub off on us. Time to examine other topics.

8. This whole thing makes me nervous.

Having lived through segregation, and experienced the Civil Rights movement first hand I was basically silent yesterday as I carefully watched this hate filled outburst unfold. After the blatant racism and hate ginned up by Palin et al it's painfully clear that "anti-other" hatred still festers just below the surface in some people. The whole fuzzy focused nature of these demonstrations left plenty of room for that ugliness to bubble up.

I'm not laughing at these delusional idiots. There are some genuinely dangerous people in the group. One's personal memories don't have to go back to the days of Billie's "Strange Fruit", three men buried in a dam, Medgar Evers, or Martin Luther King to be aware of the danger. One has only to remember Timothy McVeigh, and abortion clinic bombings to realize how quickly this sort of hate can turn violent.

10. FOX set the trap and they gladly obliged. fell for the propaganda.
FOX needs to be taken off the air, all they promote is total ignorance.
