why does Obama have to do everything?
why can't we carry some of the load?

why does it seem so much that if you like Obama or dislike him, either opposite feeling seems to eminate from this idea that he can do anything and there are no limits to his power to change the things we want changed -and if he isn't changing it right now it's either because it's not important or because he's a sell out. I think both sides are being naive and lazy.

It's still on us to push for what we want, no one's gonna hand it to us, even Obama.

I don't blame Obama that he isn't moving full steam ahead on indictments for Bushco based on these newly released memos. I'm sure he'd love to, but he's got to balance it with all the other huge shitstorms brewing throughout our country thanks to the Repugs. A big part of why the repugs and their elite masters crashed the economy so bad was to create a massive public mandate to focus on the economy and make it almost impossible for a president to spend any political capital at all on investigation Bushco. Those clever little devils!

To those frothing at the mouth right now for indictments, I say RIGHT THE FUCK ON! your anger keeps the issue alive and in people's face. Stay angry, but don't lose hope or turn on Obama if he can't do it right away. Let's see what the polls say, let's see if these memos don't change a lot of minds about whether or not it's a good idea to investigate the Bush Admin. It's the type of thing that can embarass people and get them off the fence.

I bet you a pretty nickle that these memos move popular opinion in the direction of ivestigating and bringing charges so that it's something the people want bad and not just something Obama is pushing out of partisan zeal. I'm sure that's what Obama is hoping for.

it's good news, every great journey begins with a first step. Getting Obama in office was step one, now it's up to us to keep pushing and give him the cover to do what needs to be done. So let's get out there and talk about this, on the net and in the real world and help create a public consensus that more needs to be done now that the torture memos are out.

2. Cause Obama is really King and not President...don't you get it. Bush was King.
So people don't get process, and that the Pres really doesn't have ALL the power.

5. at least he's a hell of a spokesman
the truth is that there are a lot of assholes in the Congress with a D next to their name that are going to do everything they can to stop him from doing what he needs to do for this countries sake, not because they honestly disagree with him, but mostly because he's not the one paying their bills.

6. he can delegate to Congress? He isn't an emperor.
I remember Reid standing up straight for the first time in 8 years and announcing that they don't work for Obama.
