Freepers Openly Advocating Treason, Insurrection

And these bastards had the unmitigated GALL to call Gore a "sore loser".

Yep, here's just a few comments from This Thread on Secession

Yes, and for those of us in blue states, we will end up worse off than the Hindu’s in Pakistan after partition.

The differences between red and blue are irreconcilable in my opinion. Secession seems inevitable.

The flaw in the government set up by the Founders is that there is no mechanism for expelling states that are toxic to the freedom/free enterprise system that the nation was built on. Secession of the patriot states leaves them open to attack by the stronger force of the federal military. Expulsion of those states not true to American values would be the solution to many of our problems today and would leave the true American union intact. The socialist states would wither away after expulsion, because they are parasites living off the labor of others through the public dole, enabled by politicians buying votes with the tax money of producing states. Think of what a robust nation we would be without this drag on our body politic!

Dissolution of the Union is almost unavoidable at this point. The left has gone too far and our differences are too deep. I’m not willing to sacrifice any more liberty to feed the socialist monster that’s growing stronger every day in this country.

It was inevitable that this would happen once our nation started getting more internally diverse. Liberals (and for that matter, most mainstream conservatives) have argued for fifty years that it doesn't make any difference what the demographics are in a nation. As if history provides any example of that being true. They act as if Japan could become 30% Japanese, 20% French, 20% Pakistani Muslim, 10% Jewish, and 20% Zulu and everything there would continue on as if nothing had changed.
We're then confronted with a parasite ideology, liberalism, which sponges off the constructive and productive elements of society, and uses the aforementioned internal diversity as a battering ram to get what it demands. Add in the arrival of feminism, secularism, and homosexualism, and you've got the makings of balkanization. There is no possibility of conservatism surviving in a very diverse society. It can't survive because conservatism by its very nature seeks to conserve what existed before the diversity occurred, while the diverse elements by their very nature are at war with those things. In addition, all these diverse elements feed off of the accumulated capital of conservatives, both by stealing our tax dollars and hijacking our constitutional order (as feminists and homosexuals have done). As diversity increases, conservatism must recede or depart.

1. I would like to point out that for the last eight years, most of us here felt that George Bush
had not been elected President. He was not the winner of the 2000 election and he should not have even been in the 2004 election, much less as the sitting incumbent.

And did we talk this secession bullshit? HELL, NO.

The fucking Freepers need to locate their adulthood and secure fasten it in place.

They have themselves worked up into these delusions that they are right NOW being taxed to death and their rights destroyed. What? Only smokers have had their taxes raised, otherwise it has been tax cuts.

They are nuts.

Because of them, we will always have lukewarm a little progressive but actually sorta corporate government. We will never have a European style progressive government, because the people, with them counted, will never swing that far left. I have to admit that there is a part of me that would like to see conservatism as some strange exotic foreign government, not my own. Sorry, but I have to admit it: I wish they weren't in my country sometimes.

8. I posted a similar thread on what was going on over at insanity.
I think it hit them hard today. They had this glorious Tea Bagging event were millions were going to hit the streets and show the world what America was about. To them that means a President who is not a Democrat and is not black. They went to their little soiree and noticed there weren't that many people. The rushed home, turned on FAUX and Asshanity told them all is good there were hundreds of events nationwide so they justified that their local coming out party was small, but Nationwide, they were a force. Then they went to work and they were either ignored or mocked. Then they checked out what the Marxist/Socialist/Facist/somethingist President had to say about them. And it was nothing, and the doubts came back, and the rage boiled up, and they realized that they are not relevant so they are throwing a tantrum.

I think it is funny as hell.

Their increasing irrelevance enrages them as much as anything else.

This doesn't make them any LESS dangerous, of course. Armed to the teeth as they are,
a few massacres here and there will get them back the relevance they seek, and I'm sure
there are a few Timothy McVeighs out there waiting to take their bow.

13. Good Lord, they don't know the states they are talking about
is the ones filled with themselves!

The socialist states would wither away after expulsion, because they are parasites living off the labor of others through the public dole, enabled by politicians buying votes with the tax money of producing states. Think of what a robust nation we would be without this drag on our body politic!

Text

The biggest "parasite" states (getting the most money back per taxes paid in)are
North Dakota
New Mexico
Mississippi
Alaska
West Virginia
Montana
Alabama
South Dakota
Arkansas
are living off these top "producing states" who get the least money back per dollar paid in
New Jersey
Connecticut
New Hampshire
Nevada
Illinois
Minnesota
Colorado
Massachusetts
California
New York

Makes me wish I had an account there because if they are going to be bashing the parasite states they better know who they are talking about. That is frigging crazy! Do they just assume out of some sense of grandiosity that it's the red states giving to the blue so they don't bother checking?

That's aside from the fact that they are just frigging brats. Obama won by a healthy margin unlike bush who we had reason to believe had not won...and we weren't pulling this crap.

The donor states are all liberal because freeloading democrats move there to live off the wealth created by titans of industry. Then the states will drown in their own social programs just like Michigan. (see they only need to find one example, twist it and then in their mind the theory becomes fact)

I actually give credit to this person because at least she used some independent thought. I usually rush over there when a major event occurs to see what the crazies are saying, but they seldom even have a thread on the subject. It is not until the next day after Sean tells them how they feel do they begin posting on any breaking news.

If you were to provide those facts regarding parasite states, they would simply say it's the liberal media lying about it. Just like the huge conspiracy involving Obama's birth certificate. Even when the facts are provided, they still deny the truth.

14. One of them did have an interesting theory
"As diversity increases, conservatism must recede or depart."

Maybe so, maybe not, but that wouldn't break my heart. They see this as a danger. We see it as a strength.
"E Pluribus Unum" stood as our national motto from the birth of our country until just after the McCarthy era,
when Republicans rammed through the replacement of E Pluribus Unum with In God We Trust, an ever so slight
violation of the spirit, if not quite the letter, of the Constitution. I'd like nothing more than to see
Obama get behind a movement to restore it. The radical right would explode in righteous rage, but we could
just answer them with Sarah Palin's line: "If it was good enough for the Founding Fathers, it's good enough
for me." Make sure to use her name when using the quote. The only difference would be that E Pluribus Unum
really WAS from the Founding Fathers (adopted by Act of Congress in 1782). Palin used it in reference to the
Pledge of Allegiance, which was written in 1892, and Palin was referring specifically to "under God," which
wasn't added to the Pledge until 1954. That was 172 years after the Act of Congress that adopted E Pluribus Unum, a mere typo in time, if you are a Republican propagandist (or talk show host).

Conservatism cannot survive in a diverse society. He's right (no pun intended.) They are shrinking down from a slight majority to a small group of fucking idiots who really believe only they represent "American Values" and only they are productive members of society.
There are not enough of them to seceed from anything, and there will be a lot fewer of them after they lose the 2010 election.
The GOP and the very right wing are circling the drain.

Put a little box on the form and ask them if they want to return the tax increase they have been receiving on their paychecks. It would be interesting to correlate the data on who puts their money where their mouth is.

Never mind that they are protesting a supposed tax increase that doesn't exist. As long as they are opposing Democrats, I don't think the irony would even register.

Have the so-called leaders of the party slapped down the anti-american POS Governor of Texas for his outrageous statement about secession?

Why of course not! Boss Limbaugh supports him!

The anti-American republican party is in a death spiral. Independents look upon it in horror. How could these whining, screaming, **ssy, traitorous crybabies have ever held the reins of power in this country?

The lily white Tax Day Tantrum complete with KKK type signage just reinforced the yawning gap between rethug's and the avreage American that still loves their country and hopes our President can right the ship the rethugs so despreately want to sink.

43. Well then none of them are true conservatives...
A true conservative is Ron Paul, but he's been marginalized by the big spending, war mongering nutjobs in the right wing. Paul has stood by his principles his entire political career and everything he's warned against has turned out to come true, unfortunately. The Federal Reserve, the interventionist foreign policy, etc. He's been speaking out against those things for decades and yet his party ignores him.

44. I suppose Ron Paul is

He is also a racist, anti-semitic, anti-choice, anti-environment ass. I despise Ron Paul and his basement dwelling freak revolution. I don't really care who best fits the "true conservative" definition in that party. I think real conservatism (sans any anti-choice, anti-science, anti-environment and super-fundie beliefs-so basically pretty much some fiscal discipline/some degree of social responsibility) can be a legitimate ideology to some limited extent, but I find Ron Paul just as bad as any of the rest of them.

45. I agree with you...

I agree with Ron Paul on three things: spending/taxes, the Federal Reserve/bankers, and foreign policy. Otherwise, he's an asshat. I consider myself technically a libertarian, but it's really that I'm a fiscal conservative and social liberal. Yes to gay marriage, yes to the right to choose abortion, yes to stem cell research, no to the death penalty, no to interventionist foreign policy, no to big spending, no to higher taxes, no to the Federal Reserve intervening in our economy and screwing things up, etc. I pretty much want the government to leave us all alone and allow us to do whatever the fuck we want in our daily lives so long as it doesn't harm another living person. And no, I don't count a fetus or embryo as a living person.

48. They're overwhelmingly a bunch of pitiful wankers.

This is of a piece with their "time to water the tree of liberty" silliness. They'd pee their pants first. They succeed only in making themselves look even more foolish and feckless when they back down yet again.

51. Secession is treason, plain and simple...
the people that discuss such things are incredibly ignorant of history and The Constitution. 600,000 lives, untold #'s of limbs and psyches were lost in the 1860's because some decided that they would be "better off" w/o the Federal government. The "Party of Lincoln" has become the Party of Traitors.

I occasionally hear the same tripe here in Nebraska. Some fool will talk about how "evil" the Feds are, but they can't wait until they get their Crop Subsidy check. The one's who get the most cash for letting their fields go fallow, seem to be the loudest when they condemn the government...yet there is NO shame in cashing a check for $150,000+ for doing nothing.
