5. True, I just figured this would be a great response in case you encounter a right wingnut
putting Obama down for this one.

2. I believe Bush shook Chavez's hand.
Then again I suggest we stop paying attention to the insanity on hate radio/false noise.

14. In that photo they avoided each other.
"Chavez was said to have told Obama: "I shook hands with (former US president George W.) Bush with this hand eight years ago. I want to be your friend.""

16. If taking monopolies out of the hands of the oligarchs, and redistributing
the wealth gained from a natural resource to the poorest people in the nation is driving his country into the ground, I suppose you're right.

17. Chavez is no friend of the US
and is a dictator in training. He has suppressed the opposition, the press and has closed down a major TV network. Two mayors are currently in hiding because Chavez wants them arrested for speaking out against his policies.

Shaking hands is one thing, believing the crap Chavez and Ortega spew is a totally different issue. Hopefully, we take whatever they say with a grain of salt.

18. Chavez doesn't support the oppression of poor people, hence an enemy of the U.S.

19. I know he was a victim of a right wing American smear campaign
On the whole he doesn't seem to be any worse than your average third world leader.
