I agree with Andrew Sullivan. Cheney is panicking.

This trail, if pursued by AG Holder, likely leads right to the desk of the former VP.

He ought to watch "A Few Good Men" again... and realize that Jack Nicholson's character walked into a trap.

Dick "You can't handle the truth" Cheney is walking into a similar trap.

3. And I'll bet right now that it leads to MIHOP.
Through a hub called Porter Goss (and his interesting but yet ignored breakfast on the morning of 9/11).

5. Cheney Is Doing What He Does Best, Viciously Attacking
It's a pre-emptive move. He feels the heat.

This is evidence, IMO, that at least he does believe prosecutions are coming.

9. I'm sure Cheney shredded all the really incriminating papers before they were declassified
by President Obama. That's the kind of thing he would do.

10. And after he shit on the CIA by outing Plame, don't you think they
just may have copies of all the pertinent documents?

Especially after President Obama cleared all the CIA operatives in any torture investigations, I think that was a very smart move on his part.

Little fish thrown back in order ot catch a bigger fish.

Oh, and a big "Fuck You", Cheney.

11. No need to press Cheney about the "code red" as
he's practically giving up all the info on his own. I can't wait for that m'fcker to get on the stand.

12. Strategically, this is a boneheaded move
Now Cheney is no idiot. He's a master at political manipulation and deception.

But he's failed big time here. He thinks that if he pre-emptively makes his case in the court of public opinion, he'll avoid prosecution because no one will dare attack his "reasonable" defence.

But in fact, he's drawing attention to himself and looking desperate. The latest denial of the CIA about his "request" is devastating - or it should be, if the media would do it's job.

This is NOT where Cheney wants to be right now - with all the attention focused on HIM.

Sometimes, it's better to SHUT UP and hope things will blow over.
