Haven't you seen him sign a bill? I finally learned to hold my hand down (elbow to my side) so as not to smear ink or pencil all over the side of my hand. It gives my handwriting a backward, low scrawl effect. The President prefers the overhand/claw position, which gives him the big exaggerated loopy effect. I used to use it too, until enough people asked, "How the hell can you write like that?":P
