GOP Old Guard Sweeps Aside New Faces Of GOP - Can't Say Goodbye If You Never Leave
One thing I have noticed in the various news papers and cable news shows is that the so called GOP "new blood," Bobby Jindal, Sarah Palin, Mitt Romney, Sanford, and Michael Steele, have largely been swept aside in the recent news cycles by the Bush blasts from the past: John Bolton, Dick Cheney, and Karl Rove. Of course, there would be some coverage of the Bush administration due to the release of the torture memos, but neither Condi Rice, Colin Powerll, Dubya nor Gonzalez have chosen to take to the airwaves repeatedly. They have had the good sense to remain off the radar, rather than be the political catalyst for continued inquiry into the Bush adminstration.

In contrast, the most polarizing figures of the Bush administration have re-surfaced in a Fox driven effort to lead a virtual neocon government in exile that has stolen the headlines from any of the so-called new faces of the GOP. If there is one upside to the hubris of the former members of the Bush inner circle is that they simply don't get that most Americans detest them or maybe they simply don't care in the Fox created alternate reality they live in. I remember the media giving Bill Clinton some grief for being somewhat public following his presidency, but the actions of the former Bush administration are just ridiculous.

The question is how this all plays out in the years to come. If you think John McCain complained about President Obama tieing him to Bush, can you imagine how future elections will look with former unpopular Bush administration officials still being the most visible faces of the GOP?

do's and don't is becoming bothersome, I'll rather we focus on Dems getting ready for next years
election than linking to some fucked up info that most of us don't give a shit about.

Edit:

Who would want to rec. this piece? what is so special about this informaton you're
providing us? that warrants a rec.

5. Finally...
Thank you so much. I don't know why we give the Repubs so much platform on this site. In particular the crap coming out of people's mouths like Meghan McCain....I always feel a bomb explodes in my head when I see her posts here.

3. The Dick and KKKarl are trying to stay out of jail.
Otherwise, they'd just leave town with their tails between their legs. As it stands, their desperately trying to influence public opinion in the hope that if they are ever charged with their crimes, they've already tainted any jury pool that might get picked.

4. As long as they're focused on Cheney, Rove, Limbaugh and Beck the Republican party is doomed....
People aren't buying what they're selling and, with the youth vote swinging heavily Democratic in the last three cycles (2004-2006-2008), all signs are positive.

6. On Top Of That, You Now Have Ari Fleisher All Over Fox and The WSJ
I don't see how it hurts Democrats, but I find it puzzling after all the GOP/Teabag lip service to going in a direction away from Bush, it turns out that the Republican party is still the same old shit. Is Fox News going to add a segment, "The Bush Whitehouse Reunion Hour"?

7. Yes! Cheney in the news is a good thing
We should hope they continue with this. It's much better for us that people associate Republican with Cheney and not Romney.

12. I can tell you why some of those folks aren't speaking up.
Condi? I have no idea.

Colin Powell? He's not unhappy. He endorsed Barack Obama, remember?

Dubya? Don't make me laugh. Not speaking up is probably the smartest thing he's ever done.

Gonzo? He's too busy running from the law.
