I work with digital light and shadow (3D raytracing) and the shadow line doesn't appear correct in that image. It's probably just an optical illusion, but if you look closely there should be a thin, pure black shadow under each shoe. There doesn't appear to be any globally cast shadows in this image at all.

Don't worry about it, it really doesn't matter. :)

But if you look at individual feet, you'll see some that appear firmly planted on the ground. I think the angle of the photo might account for it, and the shadows.
