4. Landay was never booked on the shows because he co-wrote the 'cooked intel books' story

in October2002, and every news network kept his story OFF THE AIR. Cheney had KnightRidder reporters kicked off the press planes because of Landay's stories - Landay and his partners never got any truth from that bunch anyway, so they stayed close to the honest CIA personnel who wanted the truth out about WH manipulations within the CIA.

He also broke the Downing Street Memos story in the US press, and was again kept off the air.

I remember DU's campaign to get Landay's DSM story into mainstream - it took a couple weeks of relentless pressure. Brian Lamb called Landay's DSM story an internet myth - I called Landay and told him Lamb was smearing his story on Cspan, and Landay called him personally to set him straight.

Sometimes, I think many people forget the media atmosphere of that time - newsmedia was in full on protectBush mode straight up until Katrina blew open some doors in Sept 2005.

5. Wow! Hot AND a brainiac, too. I hope the progressive shows have
him on more often.

I want to listen to him, as well as look.
