PHOTOS Larry Summers giddy with excitement after meeting with officials from credit card industry
Edited on Thu Apr-23-09 03:23 PM by Jackeens

White House National Economic Council Director Larry Summers nods off while President Barack Obama talks to the press after a meeting with officials from the credit card industry at the White House April 23, 2009

As his boss spoke about creating a consumer-friendly credit card system Thursday morning, National Economic Council Chairman Larry Summers fell asleep.

Summers at first appeared to be nodding off while President Obama delivered brief remarks after a meeting with credit card executives. Then he did nod off, with his head on his hand, then with his head falling off his hand, according to a pool report.

It's not the first time Summers has publicly dozed off on the job. He first fell asleep during a White House "fiscal responsibility summit" in February.

The pool report futher noted: All other officials in the room appeared fully awake.

3. He gets bored easily apparently.
In his defense it's always possible he just had a really bad headache.

4. Mr. Summers' concern has been limited to people being responsible with their credit cards.

It shows. Obama's choice of Summers for such an important post is concerning. I do not trust Summers.

5. He wasn't the one that needed to be listening in this case....
This is the pic that we need to focus on.....and understand who should be doing the listening.
