Where is Bush? Come to think of it:
Edited on Thu Apr-23-09 09:38 PM by ProSense
Where is Rumsfeld?

Where is the media?

On edit: People from Cheney to Rove to Cheney's daughter are suddenly chatty about torture, but not a peep from Bush.

Edited to add links.

1. He broke free of Cheney's spell and knows when to STFU
I've seen a different side of Bush over the past 6 months or so.

If he believes he did nothing wrong, why isn't he out defending it?

8. Most likely.
He's lawyered up, and you know how they are about their clients flapping their gums on the teevee.

Cheney is the designated firewall anyway, we'll see how good he is at that job. It is interesting that Cheney is out there being vocal and all though. Almost as if he holds a high card somewhere...
almost as if he is publicly demanding protection?

9. Isn't it weird, given Cheney was hidden so much as VP? Now he's a media hound... nt

11. He just moved in a few blocks from me! He's here in Dallas, busy working on...
his new post-presidential library at SMU. It will have what they used to call a "think-tank," but is now called something else. I call it "presidential historical revisionist room."

He has made a couple of ordinary public appearances. One at the local hardware store.

He's not scared and hiding. He's not bothered. Nothing much seems to bother him, since he's pretty shallow.

(In case you're wondering...just because his area is not that far from me, don't you be thinkin' that MY neighborhood is anything like HIS neighborhood! Only in my dreams could I afford THAT neighborhood, even though it's not super expensive by Dallas standards. But they will be doing lots of remodeling and will make the place super expensive.)

12. Bush is either scratching his balls, belching, or drunk at the moment.
Or, happy day, a combination of all three.

13. Um, its baseball season.
And now that he's "retired" he has only slightly more vacation time than when he was President.

I can't imagine he would want to do any more hard work or thinking.
