Question... that sheriff in Texas who got 10 years for waterboarding..
Edited on Fri Apr-24-09 08:41 AM by Peacetrain
and Bush did not pardon him when he was governor. Is that not in and of itself "proof" positive that they had worked with this before, and understood it was torture.

I am so sick and tired of the mealy mouth lies and excuses. Lets pull this rotten tooth, examine how we got here, and pass laws that make it clear even to neo cons that torture will not be allowed in this country.

This entire torture episode, along with the Iraq war, and letting Bin Laden slip into Pakistan to do the mischief that group is doing now. sits squarely in the neo con camp.. from Cheney to Wolfowitz

3. Bush couldn't pardon him when he was governor;.
The clown was convicted of Federal charges. We convicted people at Nuremberg and Tokyo for this. torture is torture, it doesn't matter how you try to justify it. The people that signed off on this and made it a matter of policy need to answer for their crimes.

5. Okay that makes sense.. he still had to be familiar that in his own
state, law officials were being imprisoned for waterboarding defined as torture. This trying to rewrite that suddenly waterboarding, which has had Americans put in prison for is suddenly being redefined as not torture is nuts

7. He wasn't any more aware of anything in TX
than he was of anything in the U.S. or the rest of the world. He was a sock puppet from day one.
