Why are our cable news people focused only on waterboarding? Isn't there an element of protection when the GOP whines about waterboarding in order to focus our attention away from the other blatantly brutal inneffective methods they used for political purpose?

Stop believing what the GOP people say. If you give them the ability to start a debate, they will start it in ways that protect them. Know the arguments clearly ahead of time and dont let them capture the 'frame'.
