Meghan to Cindy: If you want grandkids, call my brothers; To Rove and Cheney: Go Away!
Edited on Sat Apr-25-09 11:59 AM by SuperTrouper
Worth re-posting!! Meghan McCain continues her civil war against the Republican creeps; she also told her mother off when Cindy expressed her desire to become a grandmother: "Call my brothers"

And she called Rove a "creepy Twitter, we need to take Twitter back from the creepy people" and slammed both Cheney and Rove: "You had your 8 years, so just go away"

Add to that: John McCain just said that the terrorists came from Canada and Levi Johnston is assailing publicly the Palins for not letting him see his kid... It is going to be a fun summer...

2. LOL. Meghan McCain must be a conservative family anomaly..
.. a kid with a mind of her own!

The horror! The horror!

Ron Reagan was a bit like that too.

16. Yeah, but Ron Reagan Jr. supported the opposite party...
Meghan claims to be a Repube. It's totally different.

4. I doubt she's really a Republican
That's not to say she's a Democrat - I find her fairly dim on policy matters, and I find it a little odd that she's gotten so much media attention purely by being the daughter of a failed presidential candidate.

But, truth be told, she really isn't a Republican. She voted for Kerry in 2004 and my guess is she would have voted for Obama had her dad not been the Republican nominee.

15. i don't know if her known vote for Kerry signals she was not a republican
That vote could have been purely for personal reasons. On one hand, Bush had completely trashed her dad 4 years before in ways that swiftboating had to bring up. In addition, in her dad's own book when he spoke of the MIA/POW campaigns, it was very clear that Kerry kept McCain from losing control when attacked. Bush's despicable campaigning and Kerry's kindness to her dad could well have pushed her vote.

She may well be a libertarian, which would explain her stands on social issues.

17. OMG---she voted for KERRY?! Fuggedaboutit....she's in the 'D' column, for sure
I kind of suspected as much because there was no way she could go out there and say she didn't support her own father.

I agree with you, too, about her attention. I think it's merely because there are so many neocons and their spokesmodels (Coulter, Malkin, Rush, Sean...) that she is a novelty.

5. She looks to be Mitch McConnel's worst nightmare
A genuinely moderate Goldwater Republican with the smart mouth of a Twenty-something.

If Republicans ever go back to letting people like her run their party, we'll have problems.

8. That's what I was thinking.
I'm suspicious of the all the positive media attention she gets. The Republicans aren't going to just let go of all that money and power.

Right now the choice is between Democrats and Palin/Bachman. Too much at stake!

18. Since when was the country's general well-being a concern of the Republican Party?
Edited on Sat Apr-25-09 03:37 PM by DFW
Under Eisenhower, or possibly Gerry Ford, maybe? Certainly not at any time since then.

I'd like to have a drink with Meghan sometime, just to see what she'd say.

Although I don't think her crush on Rep. Aaron Shock of Ill is going anywhere...
