NewsCorp rag NY POST busted! "Slap" at Obama falsely attributed to Palin.
'Palin' piece misattributed

The New York Post today published, and I linked, a slap at Obama's promises of bipartisanship attributed to Gov. Sarah Palin.

The only problem: Palin didn't write the article. Conservative writer Meghan Clyne did.

" The byline was a mistake. I mixed up an e-mail from Meghan Stapleton, who works for Palin, with Meghan Clyne. That's why it was corrected," emails Post Sunday editor Steve Lynch.

It's the sort of thing that happens, but seems to happen more to Palin.

1. I knew the coherent sentences couldn't belong to Palin
Maybe the sentiment is the same, but no way was this Palin's writing.

3. Yeah, as a pagent girl, we expect Sarah to say things like
"Opposite" marriage, "such as in Iraq" "Such as US Americans need maps" such as.

Seriously, she's right up there with Miss South Carolina and Miss California.

You may ask: "In what respect, Charlie?"

2. I knew it couldn't possibly be her writing
People's writing reflects their thinking and we know Palin has more than a few problems in the thinking area.

17. It could still have been ghost written for her
Wouldn't be the first time a politician had their byline on an article written by somebody else.

7. DUers knew palin can do LIES but didn't have the
wherewithall to string them together in complete sentences.

This is just another dirty mark on the absent integrity of the NY post.

9. Ah, this makes much more sense. I initially thought the Palin piece..
might have been ghost-written, because there was no way Palin could have written such a coherent piece, albeit filled with lies.

11. LOL!! We all said that she didn't write it! They would have let
it slide but they figured everybody knows she isn't capable of writing a piece like that! The post sucks!

12. This too, also.
Q: How will you fix the economy?

Palin: The economy and putting it back on the war on terror. And I asked President Karzai, “Is that what President Bush has attempted to do and serving for the United States. I want to do things better. But it is about reform of this state that produces nearly 20 percent of the status quo, the politics as usual, the cronyism that has shown his foresight, his pragmatism, and his leadership abilities. And that violation of the solution to the problems on Wall Street. That’s the reform that we’ve got to stop. Spending that, investing that, not using the prudence that we take the fight to them.

13. I am sure it was an honest mistake
He just got those names mixed up accidentally. How did this guy manage to think that Sarah Palin wrote it? Some of those words had more than 4 letters.

19. Blind Item
What SUPER-successful western Governor wrote a witty, funny, and 100% accurate article for the NY Post Op/Ed page, had it published, and then being the generous, modest, (and dare we say saintly) person that she is, lavished credit for the article on another writer?

:P

15. A mistake.
Right. A mixup. Uh huh sure.

More than likely it was an attempt to portray SARAH! as someone with some writing skills and they just got caught.

And no, this sort of thing just doesn't happen... It was a deliberate attempt to mislead and someone got caught.

16. Poor freepers! They were loving it so much...
She is the American Dream.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is a well documented list by the NYP and Sarah’s comments are 100% spot on.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The only Republican(s) with any guts are women.

There, that’s better. Sarah Palin, Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin, Laura Ingraham, Michelle Backman - where are the men? OK, I’ll give you Rush and Mark Levin.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

WoW! That right there is speaking truth to power! What else can they do to her? They’ve already raked her and her entire family thru parallel hell. They are busy trying to criminalize all her actions as Governor of Alaska. I do believe that most Americans can see the unending mountain of sh!t the dems and their operatives in the press have heeped on her.

She’s still standing!
Go Sarah!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“What else can they do to her? “

You’re absolutely right! They have thrown everything they have at her, and have personally attacked her children. Although it’s despicable and unfair, the one advantage is she has nothing to lose by speaking out. If they’re going to smear her no matter what, she might as well fire with both barrels. Sarah certainly appears fearless, and that’s a rare quality for a politician.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thought you might enjoy this — the ‘Cuda lays the wood to Commandante Obama.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It’s unfortunate that the male Republicans in office fear her instead of support her.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sarah contributed one of the 100 days. It's good, but this article as a whole, with all kinds of contributors, is BRILLIANT. Read it, download it, file and save it.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I agree! Palin/Cheney 2012, with John Bolton nominated as SecState already at the start of the campaign.

Until reality set in....

According to an article at conservatives4palin.com ,Governor Palin did not write this piece. Apparently The NY Post made a mistake. The article was actually written by Meghan Clyne.

Sorry, here is a direct link to the article about the correction.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Looks like the NY Post was crying for attention. I don’t think it was a honest mistake.

And now the thread has been pulled because, uh, "NY Post must be excerpted". Riiiight.
