Edited on Sun Apr-26-09 02:45 PM by FrenchieCat
According to Right Wing Assholes!

They would suggest that the President be forced to micromanage every issue as it comes forth onto his desk, and that he cannot delegate any pressers in keeping Americans informed.

According to the Right wing Assholes, even if no one has died, the President should panic the country, by appearing at the microphone on a Sunday to announce a health emergency.

Right Wing Assholes are Bat-Shit crazy! That's what I believe.

2. That's kinda what Jimmy Carter did, and it didn't work
That said, I think modern Presidents travel too much. They have phones, they have the web, they have ambassadors, and they have the Sec State.

As for the swine flu -- I've seen this movie before. See "Flu-Swine (1976)" and "Flu-Bird/Chinese-Avian".

27. They also have Air Force One so they can work while they are traveling
A Presidential visit goes much farther than a phone call or a Secretary of State visit in terms of building diplomatic capital. Not to mention the fact that it's not exactly a bad idea for a President to actually see the country that he's trying to govern and the world he's trying to lead.

7. The point is that this President is in DC, and he is keeping himself informed.....
and the last thing he should want to do is panic everyone by making this a larger issue than it currently is....

No drama Obama is exactly what I voted for....and looks like that is what I'm getting. Good!

8. And if he did that, they'd accuse him of hiding from the American people.
Edited on Sun Apr-26-09 02:56 PM by Drunken Irishman
Then you'd definitely start hearing the Jimmy Carter comparisons, since he was constantly hidden away in the White House.

14. But no word about Bush hiding in AF1 and Cheney in a bunker during the 9/11 attack.
I'm willing to bet Carter, Clinton and/or Obama would have been on Air Force 1 but headed straight into NYC.

The lone mainstream media member I ever remember questioning where Bush and Cheney were was Peter Jennings on that day.

conference they would accuse him of trying to scare the American people. If he is doing anything like a press conference or something in the public eye they say he is being over exposed. If he is out of sight doing his job like during the pirate situation they accuse him of not caring, wimpiness and hiding. Seriously he will not win and the only thing to do is ignore them.

15. I don't watch fox.....I read an article posted in another thread.....
and didn't like the fact that the OP used Fox's spin as the headline.
Fox isn't worthy to have their sentiments posted here, IMO,
so I thought I'd give my take on their stupidity and hypocrisy.

28. Bush didn't take as many vacation days as we like to poke fun of him for, but...
The fact of the matter is that he used those phony "brush clearning" photo ops so much to make him look like a man of the people that it also gave off the impression that he spent all of his time on the pig farm in crawford.

24. Well, c'mon, Frenchie...
I heard that he has been doing such FRIVOLOUS things as eating, sleeping and - wait for it - healing the wounds the former administration inflicted on the world. What is THAT?

I mean, we were informed during yesterday's (R) radio address that we are ineligible to join France in the EU. How can President Obama POSSIBLY justify doing any of those other things until he has insured that we are able to join the European Union?

:shrug::shrug::shrug::shrug::shrug::shrug:
